Easy DIY Frozen Yogurt

Making frozen yogurt at home is super simple. An ice cream maker isn’t required. All you need is a few ingredients and a food processor or blender. Below is a list of ingredients to help you make frozen yogurt at home!

Yogurt: The best type of yogurt to use for this recipe is plain, unflavored yogurt. This will balance everything out since the flavor will come bursting from the other ingredients. Vegans can still enjoy this recipe by simply swapping out traditional yogurt with a dairy-free option, such as coconut yogurt.

Fruits and Flavors: The fruit you choose depends on the flavor you want. The options are endless. You can choose strawberry, pineapple, banana, and many more. Just add yogurt and you’ll have the base of the recipe. Flavors aren’t just exclusive to fruit. Adding cocoa powder makes your frozen yogurt chocolate-ly, while adding cream cheese and vanilla extract creates a cake batter flavor.

Honey: Honey, sweeteners or maple syrups are essential for making frozen yogurt. They not only add sweetness, but prevent the frozen yogurt from becoming hard to scoop with ice crystals. Add honey or liquid sweeteners so that it’s in the right texture to scoop it.

Food Processor or Blender: After you have all the ingredients, it’s time to mix it all together. Using either a food processor or blender, add all the ingredients and blend until you see it creating a smooth and creamy texture. Once it’s mixed well it’s ready to eat or store in the freezer for up to 4 weeks!
